✨ Meet Rev. Roberta Dodds-Ingersoll, one of APCE’s 2025 awardees! ✨

Rev. Roberta Dodds-Ingersoll, a proud graduate of Union Presbyterian Seminary’s Presbyterians Supporting Christian Education (PSCE) program, Class of 1979, will be honored with the SUSTAIN – Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 APCE Annual Event.

Reflecting on her time in the PSCE program, she shared that it taught her the importance of balance: the integration of Biblical and Reformed theology, educational theory, and practical application. These foundational lessons shaped her impactful ministry as both an educator and pastor.

On receiving this recognition, she noted, “Each of us has God-given gifts that we have been called to share with energy, intelligence, imagination, and love.” Her favorite scripture, Psalm 139, serves as a testament to God’s sustaining presence throughout her life and work.

As we look back on the highlights of 2024, we celebrate Union Presbyterian Seminary faculty member Frances Taylor Gench, a fifth-generation Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) minister, who won an Award of Excellence in Biblical Interpretation. Her thoughtful reflection on female pastoral leadership and biblical interpretation was recognized by the Associated Church Press (ACP), which honors excellence in faith-based media.
