Join us for the fourth conversation in the Center for Social Justice and Reconciliation’s Dangerous Dialogue virtual series, “The Injustice of the Unhoused”. As we look at the current crisis of the unhoused in Charlotte, North Carolina, what is the responsibility of the communities of faith to provide relief? How do we help to alleviate the suffering of so many who have been thrust out on the streets? Are we primarily beholden to the codes of the city or to the call of Christ as we seek to meet immediate pressing needs? What happens when these mandates are at odds?
Please join us for a conversation with three local leaders, “When Christ and Code Collide: Roadblocks to Housing the Unhoused”. Help us to discern together, where we as the people of God need to be, and what we need to do to ensure that we are faithful to God’s command to “bring the homeless poor into your house” (Is 58:7).
