This workshop will be led by current faculty of the Bible and Practical Theology Departments of Union Presbyterian Seminary.

Come join a community of learners to explore the the challenges and opportunities of preaching the Old Testament for a changing church. And as the Lenten season will soon follow this workshop, the group will dive into the Revised Common Lectionary’s Old Testament texts for this time in the church’s life. We invite you to come get a jump start on your sermon preparation for Lent!

Dates: Monday, February 17 – Wednesday, February 19, 2020

Monday, February 17: 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday, February 18: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., includes lunch break from 12:00-1:30 p.m.

Wednesday, February 19: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., with worship and lunch optional

Cost:

$150, if register by January 21, 2020, includes lunch on Tuesday, 2/18

$195, if register after January 21, 2020, includes lunch on Tuesday, 2/18

Additional $10 for optional lunch on Wednesday, 2/19

Meals: Lunch is included for Tuesday, 2/18, with optional lunch on Wednesday, 2/19. Snacks also included in the cost of registration. When you register you will be asked to indicate any food preferences (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, etc.).

CEUs: 1.2 CEUs (Continuing Education Units) for this event. Note: CEU certificates can be generated upon request at the time of the event.

Campus Housing: 

Housing on campus is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  You can sign up for housing, for an additional cost, when you register. Single and double occupancy rooms are available.
