This is an online course that is open to all. This six-week course includes weekly online class meetings, on Thursday evenings, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. EST. In addition to the live class meetings, this course includes both reading and written assignments.

Online Course Title:  Preaching, Pathways Online Course

Course Description: Students will consider the “why” of preaching and learn the “how” of basic elements of sermon preparation and delivery. Students will put this learning into practice by developing, delivering, and receiving feedback on a sermon preached in their context.

Online Course Format:  Weekly class meetings via Zoom Technology, along with assignments posted on Blackboard, the seminary’s learning management system (login credentials provided)

Dates: Thursdays, January 13 – February 17, 2022, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time

Cost:  $135, if register by December 29, 2021. (Note: Beginning December 30, price increases by $15).

Pathways to Learning and Leadership is an online program of nine courses offered over a two-year period to provide educational preparation toward leading a congregation as a Commissioned Ruling Elder (CRE).  Courses are open to all, one does not need to be pursuing to become a CRE in order to participate. Courses aim to enhance knowledge and discipleship, and each course is five weeks long.
