Online Course: Mission & Evangelism (Pathways Online Course)

This is an online course that is open to all. This 6-week course includes weekly online class meetings, on Tuesday evenings, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. EST. In addition to the live class meetings, this course includes both reading and written assignments.

Online Course Title: Mission & Evangelism, Pathways Online Course

Course Description: During a seminary class in Christian Mission and Evangelism, one student asked if we were allowed to use the “E” word? Though we frequently hear that the “church is missionary by its very nature,” what exactly does this mean and how may we joyfully claim the “E” word as part of our missional identity?

In this course participants will go on a wonderful journey of discovery, inquiring into the staggeringly rich realm of mission and evangelism in order to embrace the challenges facing the rapidly changing church and world in the twenty-first century.

Online Course Format:  Weekly class meetings via Zoom Technology, along with assignments posted on Blackboard, the seminary’s learning management system (login credentials provided)

Dates: Tuesdays, April 19 – May 24, 2022, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time

Cost:  $135, if register by April 4, 2022. (Note: Beginning April 5, price increases by $15).

CEUs:  3.0

Pathways to Learning and Leadership is an online program of nine courses offered over a two-year period to provide educational preparation toward leading a congregation as a Commissioned Ruling Elder (CRE).  Courses are open to all, one does not need to be pursuing to become a CRE in order to participate. Courses aim to enhance knowledge and discipleship, and each course is five weeks long.
