Join us in Watts Chapel for a memorial celebrating the life of the Rev. Dr. Katie Geneva Cannon, who was the Annie Scales Rogers Professor of Christian Ethics and founded the Center for Womanist Leadership at Union Presbyterian Seminary. Dr. Cannon died August 8 of acute leukemia.
Schedule for the Day
The service will be held on the campus of UPSem, in the historic Watts Chapel on Monday, September 10, at 11:30 a.m. Watts Chapel is located in Watts Hall. The address is 3401 Brook Road, Richmond, VA 23227. Knowing of your relationship with Katie, we would be honored if you were able to convene with us in prayer, worship, communion, and following community meal.

In honor of Katie’s style and spirit, guests are invited to wear bright colors as a way of celebrating her life.
