Descripción: la pandemia Covid-19 ha alterado y seguirá alterando nuestras costumbres y comprensión de la vida, incluyendo, desde luego, la vida de la Iglesia. En la medida que las congregaciones cristianas vuelvan a los templos, nos toca reflexionar sobre lo que significa este regreso. Creemos que este retorno al templo implica un llamado, de parte de Dios, a abrazar un tiempo nuevo. En este sentido, estamos “en el umbral de algo nuevo.” El biblista Ricardo Foulkes nos recuerda que el llamado del Apocalipsis a vivir algo nuevo implica el compromiso con transformar la realidad y no un impulso por evadirla. Este evento de dos partes es una invitación a reflexionar juntos sobre lo que significa transforma nuestra realidad hoy.

Format: Zoom; lectures and conversation (90 minutes) with worship (30 minutes)

Description: the Covid-19 pandemic that has altered and will continue to alter both our traditions and understandings of human life, including, of course, the life of the Church. As congregations continue to go back to their temples, it is our task to reflect on the meaning of this return. We believe that this return entails a call from God to embrace a new time. In this sense, we are, indeed, “on the threshold of something new.” Biblical scholar Ricardo Foulkes reminds us that the call in Revelation to live anew implies a commitment to transform reality and not an impulse to evade it. This two-part event is an invitation to reflect on what this call to live anew might mean today.
