An ordained minister of the Alliance of Baptists, Mandy formerly served as senior pastor of Ginter Park Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. Under her leadership the congregation embarked on a season of discernment, choosing to sell their property and buildings and relocate. She also served on the collaborative pastoral team of Sardis Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has over a decade of ministry experience and continues to preach, teach, and support congregations as a guest.
Mandy is a graduate of the David G. Buttrick Program in Homiletic Peer Coaching from Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, Tennessee. As a certified peer coach, she works alongside preachers to deepen and enrich their preaching practice and experience.
Mandy is a graduate of the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (Master of Divinity), and Meredith College of Raleigh, North Carolina (B.A. of Communication). Prior to entering seminary, she worked for IBM in their International Customer Operations, and U.S. Direct Sales divisions.
In addition to her work supporting the church, she works as the baker at her local coffee shop. She has devoted time to supporting the work of the Alliance of Baptists, and of Ring Lake Ranch (an ecumenical retreat setting in Dubois, Wyoming) by serving on their board of directors. In addition to engaging in meaningful work and volunteer opportunities, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, gardening, and rocking out with several ukulele bands.
