Description of the seminar: The world shifts so quickly that pastors, church educators, church administrators, and other church leaders often wonder whether establishing concrete plans is worth the time and effort. Lengthy studies and voluminous plans seem to be outdated by the time they are complete, resulting in low morale and commitment to a direction that is no longer relevant.
This conference will focus on the role of strategic planning in an adaptive context. Participants will be introduced to a variety of concepts and resources which include: creating an environment for change, building resiliency in the congregation, and utilizing tools which focus the heart of ministry in a targeted, measurable yet flexible way. Each participant will leave with the seeds for a planning process which matches the style, timeline, and resources of his or her own church setting.
