Associate Pastor of Senior High Youth and their Families–Eastminster Presbyterian Church–Columbia, SC
Opening for an Associate Pastor for Senior High Youth and Younger Adults at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina. With over 65 active high school youth participating in our youth program, this position offers an exciting opportunity for an ordained, Spirit-filled, youth minister passionate about helping young people grow in their faith. Eastminster is a congregation of over 2000 members located within minutes of downtown Columbia. Job duties include:
• The Associate Pastor for Youth and their families will be responsible for planning, recruiting, and equipping leaders for the weekly youth programs.
• Plan and organize Confirmation for ninth graders.
• Plan and participate in Senior High summer trips.
• Plan and participate in overnight weekend fellowship activities.
• Plan and organize Youth Sunday.
• Serve as part of a multi-pastor team of seven ordained pastors, including rotating hospital coverage and Day School Chapel, and attend meetings with staff and senior pastor.
• Plan and participate in weekly worship, preach on occasion, and conduct weddings, baptisms, and funerals as requested.
