We are a progressive church, open to a first call. Working closely with the session, our next pastor shall: • Practice a progressive theology and culture of inclusion rooted in PCUSA tradition; • Plan, lead, and facilitate meaningful weekly worship services that effectively blend Scripture, preaching, music, liturgy, and prayer; • Lead, empower, and collaborate with awesome church staff and lay leaders; • Oversee an annual stewardship campaign, the training of elders, and the revitalization of a program for children and youth; • Encourage the congregation in its outreach and service to the local community and the world; • Provide pastoral care and counseling to the congregation; • Moderate the session; • Participate in the church’s spiritual enrichment programs; • Establish clear lines of communication both among church staff and between the various programs of the congregation; and • Represent the congregation in denominational, ecumenical, and community life and foster those relationships.
