Church Mission/Vision Statement
Biscoe Presbyterian Church is a fellowship of believers who share allegiance to the one God- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our mission is to seek God’s will and to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ by utilizing the God-given talents of all people. We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through worship, Christian Education, fellowship and ministry to those in need by living our love for God in service to each other, the greater community and the world. We invite others to join us in the joy of our faith and celebration of God’s love.
Biscoe Presbyterian Church is 114 years old. Having been founded in 1908, it is rich in church history. Our vision is to seek God’s will; provide the preaching and teaching of God’s word; proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ; offer Christian education to all ages; and minister to others through Christian fellowship. We live this out through our worship. We offer traditional style service, value scripture, and Christian education. We glorify God through the preaching of His word. We provide Christian education through our Sunday School classes that range from nursery, elementary, middle school, high school, college, young adults, older adults, and seniors. We offer additional education through Children’s Church, Bible studies, Women’s Circle, Men of the Church, Presbyterian Youth Fellowship, and Vacation Bible School. We share fellowship with church members and our community through first Sunday breakfasts, family night suppers, church cookouts, youth outings, Relay for Life team, and through hosting Blood Mobiles. There are opportunities for participation during our worship service through our wonderful music ministry, as well as leading of the children’s message and children’s church. Looking forward, we would like to increase our membership in Sunday School as well as in Worship services. Our desire is to enhance church activities for both our youth and our senior adults.

Biscoe Presbyterian Church recognizes the needs in our community; therefore, we strive to follow Jesus’ example of caring for one another. We actively serve in the local and global communities by investing our time, energy, talents, and financial support. Our church ministers to our county of approximately 27,000 by participating in our local food pantry, Souper Bowl of Caring, the local Pregnancy Resource Center, Relay for Life, Esther House (home for abused women and children), Social Services, Operation Inasmuch, Meals on Wheels, and supporting the Samaritan Colony (substance abuse). Our church also recognizes the importance and need of supporting the local education system. We do this by participating in school fundraisers, providing schools and teachers with supplies, and financial assistance. We aide our global community by participating in Operation Christmas Child, Clean Water for the World Missions, Sewing Machine Missions, donating to medical mission trips to Honduras, and supporting missionaries in foreign countries.

The person whom God calls to Biscoe Presbyterian Church will help us reach our vision and mission goals by providing meaningful, scripture focused worship. Through their leadership they will create a worship experience that brings us closer to God. They will prepare activities that will foster fellowship and develop connections with church members, especially the youth, young families, and senior adults.
