El Leadership Institute of Union Presbyterian Seminary, en asociación con el Syngman Rhee Global Mission Center for Christian Education, están patrocinando este curso en línea. 

Título del curso:  Sexualidad, Biblia y Cuidado Pastoral

El curso busca generar espacio para analizar el modelo hegemónico de aprendizaje y vivencia de la sexualidad estructurado en torno a una serie de opresiones (género, edad, raza, etnicidad, corporalidad). Evaluaremos también el rol que juegan la Biblia y las prácticas religiosas en la cimentación de este modelo. La alternativa a estos esquemas que condicionan nuestra compresión y vivencia de la sexualidad es un esquema de pastoral que dignifica la vida, el placer y la inclusión.

Formato del curso en línea: Las clases semanales los jueves se llevarán a cabo utilizando la tecnología Zoom. Se proporcionará el enlace correspondiente de Zoom. Los participantes necesitarán tener acceso a un dispositivo electrónico con una conexión estable a Internet, una cámara web, un micrófono y bocinas.

“Senderos” Online Course

The Leadership Institute of Union Presbyterian Seminary, in partnership with the Syngman Rhee Global Mission Center for Christian Education, is sponsoring this online course.

Course Title: Sexuality, Bible, and Pastoral Care

In this course, participants will reflect on how various oppressions (gender, age, race, ethnicity, body) sustain a hegemonic model that limits our understanding and experience of human sexuality. Participants will assess how the Bible and religious practices have traditionally supported this model. The alternative to this life-limiting model is a pastoral approach that dignifies life, pleasure, and inclusion.

Online Course Format:  Weekly class meetings on Thursdays will be held using Zoom Technology. The Zoom meeting link will be provided. Participants will need access to an electronic device with a stable internet connection, a webcam, microphone, and speakers.

Co-led by: Dr. Rubén Arjon, Assistant Professor of Pastoral Care, Union Presbyterian Seminary, and Gabriela Miranda García, Latin American feminist theologian
