Online Workshop: Preparing Your Leadership and Congregation for A Post-Covid Reality

Workshop Description: Most of us have our crisis plans well in hand. What if the crisis is the new reality? Join us for an interactive workshop that will give you a framework and practical tools to help help you navigate your congregation through uncertain times. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to refresh or create strategic goals, map out a process that gives your congregation and leadership an adaptive strategy that gives allows you navigate uncertainty as you move forward. You will get to apply the tools to your specific context during the session and get real-time feedback and perspective. This session is perfect for pastors, congregational leaders, and leadership teams as you are thinking about your ministry and future beyond 2020.
Online Format: This workshop will use Zoom technology to meet online in order to allow for presentations by the leader as well as engagement among participants. Participants will need an electronic device equipped with a reliable Internet connection, built-in or external microphone, and a built-in or external webcam.
Leader bio: Rev. Chris Bennett is a consultant and facilitator with The Spark Mill, a Richmond-based strategic planning & consulting firm (www.thesparkmill.com). Prior to The Spark Mill, Chris spent 13 years as a pastor in small medium and large congregations of the United Methodist Church. He is passionate about big ideas that create lasting positive impact. The Spark Mill works with nonprofits & associations, small businesses & start-ups, and higher education & faith-based groups. Since starting with The Spark Mill, Chris has led dozens of projects helping clients develop creative and strategic solutions to their organizational challenges. Chris is a graduate of Virginia Tech, from which he holds a BA in Communication Studies, and Union Presbyterian Seminary, from which he holds a Masters of Divinity. He and his wife, Jill, live in Richmond with their two boys, Henry and Nicholas.
