Playology Event – Experiencing God through the Art of Play
March 15, 2022 - March 16, 2022
Event Navigation
Playology is an event chock-full of interactive training and practical resources to integrate recreation and play into your ministry context and worship experiences. Seasoned leaders will lead art, worship, and recreation-related workshops. The first day kicks off with a Theme Party and each registered participant will select two (2) workshop options as well. All of the elements are extremely practical by design, so participants can take the experience and apply to their own context immediately. In addition, a round table discussion on the Theology of Recreation will be incorporated around lunch. On the second day, the workshop leaders and participants will lead worship for the seminary community after spending the morning in a creative worship planning workshop together.
This event is a great resource for children and youth leaders, pastors, worship leaders, camp counselors, educators, recreation leaders, volunteers, and more! Whether you come alone or in a group, you will experience creative ways to build community.
Co-led by: Beth Gunn and Deb Guess
About the Leaders:

She is the Associate for Youth for the Presbytery of Western North Carolina with a particular emphasis in the field of Recreation Ministry. She is enjoying being “GG” to their 3 granddaughters! Beth spends time hiking these woods, discovering the best trails for wildflowers and bringing people together over meals.
Deb Guess lives in western North Carolina and appreciates all things creative and unique. She spent many years on Presbytery staffs doing youth, collegiate, education, and mission ministries and currently is a full time jewelry and mixed media artist and instructor.
